Tornado Wire are a £27m turnover company who supply wire fencing for the agricultural, forestry and infrastructure markets.  We supply our products to end users and professional fence contractors through a network of resellers in the UK, Europe and North America.  We needed a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that could support us.

Business is driven by the relationship with professional contractors who are not the end customers.

We needed the capability to manage sales team activity with contractors who do not appear in Tornado’s accounting and ERP software, Microsoft Dynamics Navision.

CRM-UK spent time with us to understand our business goals and processes. CRM-UK then helped us map out the perfect user journey’s to manage our processes and configured theCRM so we could easily manage them. theCRM provides the capability for us to:

  • Easily attach activities to projects, contacts, contractors or resellers.
  • Track and manage the project value.
  • Track project progress and which customers and contractors are working on each project.
  • Have custom fields that help us easily manage how we work.
  • Easily input information with custom input cards that really help quick data entry.
  • Enter data from the field (literally!) using the mobile interface.
  • Proactively manage our resellers.
  • Integration to import activity data to and from our Microsoft Navision ERP solution.
  • Capability to export data to Phocas BI.
  • Quickly create custom lists to interrogate our data.
  • The solution also provides Tornado with the simple data migration from the incumbent CRM system.
